The Edinburgh Literary Bus Tour is establishing itself as a unique seasonal fixture. Despite the city preparing for our new tram network with the unfortunate disruption to key roads in the city we have decided to add to our vehicle fleet in order to create three flexible packages.

These tours are available throughout the year at any time (subject to availability) on a pre-booked basis for groups of 5, 6, or up to a maximum of 15 people (minimum required for this tour is 10). Details>>.

The Tour will resume a schedule of daily departures throughout August in conjunction with the dates for the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August 2009.

Full details will be posted here as soon as they are finalised.

"Part of the pleasure of the trip was seeing a familiar city through unweary eyes. Thereā€™d have been no enjoyment, though has this not been such a well-thought-out excursion, executed with professional panache.

What is extraordinary is that this is the first-ever such tour of Edinburgh."

Where the travel industry might speak of destinations and their attractions, the humanities tend to talk about places and power . . . places are best defined by their culture, by the stories born told there. A place is a destination with a story and we sincerely hope that you will come and listen to this one!
